A 1939 bronze head for a Tiger 100, things don't get much rarer or more desirable than this in the pre-unit world. It's reckoned that less than 300 were produced before the Germans turned up overhead in 1940 and stopped the party early

This is almost definitely a once in a lifetime opportunity to become the proud owner of one of these. Read somewhere on the netscape that one dude has spent the last six years trying to find one and has never even got a sniff of one.

No idea what it will fetch, close to three grand I reckon, which is why this soldier ain't gonna get involved in the bidding war. However if you feel that you're up for the fight it can be found HERE

If you're bidding on this, and if you are you'll recognise it, be aware that it has been modified to fit a pre=Duplex Swinging Arm frame. It will not fit a standard rigid front section anymore. If on the other hand you have such a frame in original order and you would prefer  a Trumpet that is more as Nature intended then Get On It!!!  Two days to go.

Survivor or Victim

Came across this A65 over the weekend, in at my mate Den's for a bit of a look at. Not my cup of tea by any stretch, but someone has put time, work and money into it. Difficult to tell when it became an unfinished project though, 30 months or 30 years, closer to the latter you would have thought.

Reckon it's around a '68 Lightning motor, all a bit precarious to squeeze 'round the back to be looking at engine numbers. Really wants saving from having to sit in there, a big Jap 4 would fit in there I'm sure.

Novel take on the rocker design, must look good in the rain. Can't figure out the brake anchor philosophy, have to take a better look and maybe have a word next time.

Still got a shoe-box of bits to be blessed with Otto's Blackness and a couple of wires to add and that'll be about that. Oh yeah, and get it registered

Back On It!

Scored a couple of reportedly NOS 289 carbs from The States, a matching pair of 1 1/8" bore numbers that match the '57 Tiger 100 Delta Head exactly. The thing that resembles a dog turd in the middle is a modified SU float chamber to act as a remote feed to both carbs. It hangs from a rubber isolating bush with a fine adjustment stud in the top. Don't know diddley about setting this sort of thing up, other than the float level is critical and must be equal at both main jet blocks.

Going to be a voyage of discovery this, any help or suggestions from anyone who has walked this path before will be more than welcome.

Both right handed, don't know if a left handed version was ever an option.

Out at the big steam bash up the road over the weekend, spotted this lovely TriBSA. Great lookin' "man's" bike and lookin' more than capable.

Although there was a good showing by Milwaukee's finest, a few Brits snook in under the radar. Russ strongly advised a look at this and he weren't far wrong!

The pix don't do the build quality justice, there's some inspired work gone into this build.

Sure there should be more shots of that front end but they ain't there now. Can't explain how they work 'cause I'm not sure! Springers at the bottom for sure, but the  springs are in tension and not compression.

The sun shines on the righteous they say, well there must of been some virtuous MOFO's about in Bedfordshire this weekend, wall to wall sunshine over a truly great event.

Same great vibe as the Hayride but somehow so much more chilled.

Got the tank back from Otto, looking spot on as always, as is the oil tank. 

Not very much to do at all now, a few pipes, number plate set up, and get it registered.
