Clearing a few things up

First off I've gotta apologise for misleading all you good folk, when Johnny posted that he had taken it to the Linkert this year, I assumed that he rode it, as can be seen in the comments, Miss Scarlett has corrected me and apparently he vanned it down there. If you've seen Silence of the Lambs you'll remember what ASS-U-ME did.
This bike came through Pete of Eat The Rich and and is chronicled on a post of his here checking his post out will give the story so far, so to speak.
Other than that, what a great shot 8 stud splayed head, pair of handed monoblocs and a chronometric Rev-U-Lator (worth 10% of the purchase price alone) this is gonna be something to behold.

Chubbs Bonnie Project

Chubb, he of the Dirty Bobber persuasion, has posted this lovely looking 8 stud T120 with all the right bits on it. Recently bought off of sLowrider it made it to Linkert Attacks and back this year so all should be healthy. Having just about finished his loin stirring Shovel, he's started in on the Triumph...........nice.

Crossbreed Cycles

Came across Chris Barber's site, Crossbreed Cycles and found this amongst a load of other nice stuff. Couldn't find an e-mail address on the site to get the clearance to use the shot but I hope he's cool with it. Here's how he describes it;

Hill Climber
This bike came together from an assortment of parts, it uses a 40's Matchless G3 frame, GM speedway engine, Burman gearbox, Suzuki RM125 front wheel (magnesium hub), Husquarvana front rim (used on rear) with Bultaco all alloy hub, Brooks bicycle seat. All efforts went into making this machine as light as possible, hence the choice of components.........even the rear mudguard stays are hollow tube.
This machine is road legal in the UK but for day light use only.

55+ BHP, 205 lbs dry weight = FUN

I really love this style of bike, got a certain Britishness about it, not trying to be a Harley or anything else for that matter, it's doing very well being exactly what it is.

New Boardtrack Racer Project

Sometimes you just cant believe your luck. i was rummaging about at
Newark auto jumble on Sunday and found a Harley Peashooter
bottom end a 1926 B   350cc single.
So now another Board racer project on the go with almost a real deal motor.
Now i know i've no chance of finding a pukka OHV top end for it so i'm
gonna try and graft a Brit exposed valve top end on it.
Maby a J.A.P speedway or if a i'm real lucky a 4 valve twin port Rudge.

First thing though is to fix the bottom end which is proving difficult already.
The big end & drive side main bearings are knacker'd, cant find any parts
on the net at the moment so might have to adapt something else to fit.

Triumph TR6 Project

A few months ago i started my TR6 project after haveing the engine lying around for about 5 years,
Here's the spec so far.
Frame, T150 Trident.
Engine, TR6P Saint (ex cop bike.)
Forks & yokes, Yamaha SR500.
Hardtail,  Homemade
Rear hub, Triumph.
Brake plate, homemade.
Tank, Yam dragstar 125.

Hot Off The Press

Well the word's out, next years Hayride is up and running. Thanks to Steve from Stockers for the poster. This is without question the best gig I've ever fallen over at, and this time I'm gonna make sure of an early Friday kick off to get as much in as possible. Quality, that has made my day.

Nice Fury

You may have noticed over time that I have a thing for Enfields. This bike, lifted from Boyle's BCM is one that I keep going back to look at. It just looks so right, nothing on there for decoration, just a lean, clean, mean machine.

Scarletts New Blog

Scarlett, international publisher, artist, drummer, surrogate mum to a bunch of Dirty Bobber types and all 'round good person has launched a new blog. This allows her to present the broad spectrum of work she undertakes and the quality she delivers. Ya know what? The blogscape is a wonderful place sometimes, Kustom Geezers from all over the world, never met each other, but form friendships just the same. Roland from outa control and me were throwing e-mails back and forth a coupla weeks ago, trying to help each other locate imperial brass screws. I told him that I was searching for brass cheese head screws for the drain plugs at the bottom of the Commando forks on the A7. This morning a package arrived containing two 1/4" BSF and 2 1/4" BSW screws that he has turned from hex head bolts. It's generosity and brotherhood like this that keeps the winged wheel spinning.

Little Peppy's Racing Album

A picture has been posted on Dirty Bobbers by Mellie of a guy haulin' an Indian up a big hill. He added the source address and it seemed to be worth a look. It turned out to be a great collection of period photo's from the late 1940's showing action from a variety of events featuring Little Peppy, the author's father. To check it out go here.
